Gulfam Mustafa has recently been working as the Editor of the Weekly Mission, a local newsweekly from Southern Punjab. He also publishes a monthly news and current affairs magazine namely “Pakistan Prospect” from Multan.
As a development practitioner, he has been associated with the Lodhran Pilot Project (LPP), a not-for-profit organisation working for sustainable development across Southern Punjab. Currently he oversees the actvities related to monitoring, evaluation and research. He has extensive experience and expertise in project management, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, and advocacy. Gulfam has contributed his services for a number of projects supported by the World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP, USAID, Concern Worldwide, Plan Pakistan, the Embassy of Japan, David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and the Government of Punjab.
Gulfam, an ambassador of Pakistan’s most talented youth, was born at Lodhran, a remote city in Southern Punjab, on May 7, 1984. He grew up in a middle class family. While he was a student of sixth grade, he started writing stories for children in a number of magazines and newspapers. A few years later, he turned towards writing columns and features regarding current affairs and regional politics.
During his studies at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, he joined Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur and Radio Jeevay Pakistan FM 98 as a presenter. After his graduation in Journalism in 2006, he joined the Weekly Mission, an Urdu news and current affairs magazine publishing from Southern Punjab, as the Editor.
Having interested in information technology since his school life, he launched a technology venture, Megasoft (Private) Limited, in April 2010 for providing affordable and reliable web services and technology solutions to small businesses and individuals.
